It’s officially the second week of December. If you haven’t started to think about what gifts you’re going to get your loved ones, you may have to get on that. Don’t worry that pretty little heart of yours though. I’m here to help!
A couple of weeks ago I shared part one of this Baker’s Gift Guide. And now that we’re edging even closer to Christmas, I figured it was best to share part two with you now.
The first gift guide was centered around appliances and tools that are the best for baking. Now I’m going to share what bakeware and serving pieces your favorite baker will definitely need to pull off a show stopping baking extravaganza.
Let’s start out with the bakeware.
Must Haves:
1. Baking sheets
Every great baker needs a set of baking sheets. I mean, how else are they going to bake you a fresh batch of Christmas cookies if they’re without any baking sheets? So this one is a given. But make sure that you’re providing them with great quality baking sheets. You don’t want the baking sheets to rust out within just a couple of uses. Rusty cookies are a present no one wants to receive.
2. Half Sheet Pans/Jelly Roll Pans
These are also a must have when it comes to baking. Your baker can fit so many cookies on this tray it’s not even funny. Which means cookies on the table faster. I also think it’s important to have a lighter colored set of bakeware as well. Jelly roll pans are great because they have slightly higher sides, which makes them great for granolas.
3. 9″x13″ pan
This pan is like the chocolate chip cookie of the baking world. It’s a classic must-have for baking. Having the lid for this pan is great too because you can pop it right on that frosted cake and your baker can take it to her next holiday get-together.
4. 8″x8″ Pan
I’m going to argue that your baker also needs to have this 8″x8″ pan. Why? Because how else is she going to make these crazy amazing healthy brownies? I think I just proved my point.
5. Cupcake Pan
While on theme of pans for cake, we mosey on over to the cupcake pan. Because cupcakes are just personal cakes you can feel okay about eating more than one at a time. If you’re feeling really fancy, definitely check out this pan that’s a carrying case, and makes it easy to keep any fancy frosting from being smooshed.
6. Loaf Pan
If your baker loves to make breads, then this is a must have for her. If she’s lucky enough to already have a KitchenAid stand mixer, then she can quickly whip up some homemade bread and bake it in this loaf pan. Fresh bread never tasted so good.
7. Bundt Pan
Some might argue that a bundt pan isn’t necessary for bakers, and while I did go quite some time without one, I would like to argue differently now. I think these three bundt pan cakes prove my point: blueberry lemon bundt cake, peach upside down cake {the most pinned cake on my site}, and this pumpkin pie monkey bread.
8. Springform Pan
Another pan that I would like to tell you is a must have for your favorite baker. How can she bake amazing cheesecakes if she doesn’t have a springform pan? I honestly don’t know…so you may want to pick up one of these.
Nice to Have:
9. Mini Muffin/Cupcake Pan
If you’re going to give the gift of personal cupcakes, then I would pass on the mini muffin pan. But they’re just so dang cute! So if you want to be a super amazing gifter, package up this mini muffin pan with the 12 cavity cupcake pan and some cupcake liners and you’ve given the best gift ever!
10. Donut pan
Baked donuts are amazing, and are a lot easier to make than you would think. But obviously a donut pan is necessary to make those tasty little breakfast treats. So if your baker is feeling inspired to try out her own baked donuts, then pick up one of these pans.
Now that we’ve made our way through the must have bakeware, let’s move on to the serving pieces and storage that your baker will need to have to showcase all of her amazing baked goods.
Must Haves:
11. Cake Stand
What better way for your baker to show off her gorgeous cake than with an equally gorgeous cake stand? There are so many beautiful ones out there, like this pretty marble and wood one, or a simple white one to show off the cake.
12. Cake Carrier
If your baker isn’t entertaining at home with her cake, then she’s going to need a cake carrier. This one is also super cute! But if you’re looking for something more basic, then check out this clear, simple one.
13. Pyrex Storage Containers
These are a great option for your baker because she can bake right in them and then pop the lid on and transport her baked goodies. They’re also nice and deep for cookie storage. I store my leftover healthy waffles in these containers too. Such a perfect fit.
Nice to Have:
14. Trifle Dish
Trifles are super pretty layered desserts, but you don’t find too many using this gorgeous serving piece for their dessert making. If your baker already has a lot of the must have items, then I would definitely suggest picking up one of these for her. I’ve used mine for popcorn for a girls movie night. It’s a great way to create height differentiation on the table.
15. 3-Tier Stand
Another display item that’s great for your baker who loves to entertain. Having a 3-tier stand let’s her show off all of her cupcakes, truffles or any other single baked treat.
