Have you ever considered practicing yoga but were too afraid you wouldn’t know how to do the poses? Or maybe thought you would look like a noob compared to everyone else in class?
That’s why yoga videos for beginners are a great way to start the practice of yoga without the intimidation of a class. You can start to gain the feeling and flow of different moves all from the comfort of your own home.
I used to think I didn’t like yoga. Until I started practicing in my own home. I realized that I actually like the gentle flow of yoga and stretching {something I should really practice more}. The best part is that I can choose videos that fit my skill set and I don’t have to feel like everyone is watching me doing a downward dog.
If you’re looking for a way to incorporate yoga or more stretching into your daily routine, then check out these 6 videos below. They’re great yoga videos for beginners that are all under 20 minutes.
Yoga Videos for Beginners
1. Morning Mantra Yoga
This is one of my new favorite yoga videos for beginners. It’s an easy morning yoga flow with simple moves to loosen up and set your intentions for the day. Kat is always super inspirational, and I love taking just 10 minutes to follow this yoga video in the morning.
Plus if you sit all day, this is a great video to open the hips and stretch the back.
2. Yoga Flow
I shared this yoga flow video as a bonus video in this 6 Best HIIT Workouts post, but it’s seriously one of my favorites! I think this was the first video that made me think, “I can do yoga and actually enjoy it”. It’s only 15 minutes long, but it’s an amazing way to stretch, become more limber, and learn some yoga terminology.
You can do this video at the beginning or end of the day. If you’re feeling extra tight in your legs or hips, this is an amazing video to really open things up.
3. Detox Yoga Flow
For 20 minutes, spend your time with Karina to detox your body with yoga. She explains the moves of yoga and how to do the poses. It’s a great way to detox your body from any negativity and soreness.
4. Yoga Ab Sculpt
Slow, intentional movements will fire up your core and really get your body used to a few more yoga moves. This yoga video is just 8 minutes long, but is a great one to really lengthen the muscles engage your midsection.
5. Beach Yoga
Even if you can’t be on the beach, no worries! This 20 minute yoga flow will have you feeling all the yoga feels as a beginner. I love it as a post workout yoga session to really loosen my muscles and become more flexible. Running and exercise is so much easier when I’ve taken the time to take care of the muscles that do so much for me during those workouts.
6. Yoga 101
Okay, so this picture may seem a bit intimidating for those who are just starting out with yoga, but this video really helps you gain the fundamental moves and poses with your yoga practice. She really explains a lot of the moves to help you improve your yogi-ness.
7. BONUS Video! Yoga Booty
Once you’ve mastered the six yoga for beginners videos above, move on to this yoga booty video. It’s like a more intense version of yoga with some booty work in there as well. It’s a longer video, at almost 50 minutes, but it’s a really great one to incorporate all of those moves you learned in the earlier videos.
I really enjoyed this one after some yoga practice, but did find myself modifying as needed. So don’t worry if you have to modify too!
I hope you enjoy all of these yoga videos! Let me know which one was your favorite in the comments below!
